i know the guy is a cub fan, but didnt realize he could be quite this delusional.
he says that the only top 50 FA we sign is re-upping with JP. i respect the guy for keeping up a great site, but after reading this article i will think twice before believing his opinions in the future

yep thats cubs bias for u. we r signing piniero and no other top 50 free agents sure. he even has the cubs getting wagner too, spending almost what the cards would spend.

i know they are synonyms. according to them the cubs should have about 6000 world series titles but honestly wasnt aware they were this dumb.
king - the wagner thing made my jaw drop a bit too
another thing- i know we have been very hard on ankiel, but is this clown telling me that Kiko freaking calero is worth more in free agency? not buyin it
i could go on for hours about everything that is wrong with this article but im going to spare you all

Calero's 2009 was very good.

67 games
60 IP
36 H
69 K
30 BB
1.10 WHIP
1.95 ERA

And he was better on the road than at home (nice to know given he played for the Marlins and their pitchers park).

Granted, I don't know how much he'll get, but based on 2009 he was worth much, much more than Ankiel.

but ankiel had a terrible 09
you have to take full careers into consideration
calero has had arm problems in the past.
aside from calero, why is gregg zaun ranked and not rick?

So the Mets will get 3 of the biggest players on the market (Holliday, Lackey, and Wolf), and the Cardinals will only get Pineiro.

The Cardinals will very likely get one of the free agent left fielders, even if it's not Holliday.

mlbtraderumors is fun to read, but from what I've seen of it, they're only accurate if the deal is imminent. I've never seen them get close on a prediction.

not trying to take this off topic, but did you see the MLB network guys predicting next years WS. They almost all picked cubs again.

Its not just mlbtrade rumors

i know. i love mlb network but for any alleged baseball experts to pick the world series before the offseason has even begun to play out is irresponsible. they are just picking the cubs because it is the chic thing to do every year. you would think they would learn...
