There are some reports that Mizzou will be one of the first 10 teams to wear the newest Nike Pro Combat uniforms this year. Apparently they will be using the team's "Beast Mode" moto, in different places on the uni.

Nike hasn't officially released all of the designs but there are plenty of pictures that have been leaked, unfortunately none of the Mizzou jersey.

The ten teams should be VT, TCU, (both teams are wearing them this week), tOSU, FSU, UF, TX, OU, Mizzou, Miami, and LSU.

Given the 10 teams are some of the top programs, it shows how the Mizzou name has gained some national recognition.

Here is a picture of the MU vapor trail gloves.

Here is a link to a photo gallery of FSU's new uni's which should give some idea of what ours might look like.

Was just going to give the heads up on this here.

These are the list of teams and their slogans.

VT = Good Guys Wear White
TCU = Never Back Down
Ohio State = Earned
Florida State = Fear The Spear
Oklahoma = Stake Our Claim
Florida = Finish The Mission
Texas = It Only Takes Eleven
LSU = Cochon De Lait
Mizzou = Beast Mode
Miami = The U Knows

WHO CARES WHAT PHIL KNIGHT THINKS TIGERS SHOULD WEAR.
This is smash mouth DIV 1 football not a beauty contest forum.
The way Tiger football has failed us who cares if they wear dyed black Long Johns.

they are putting slogans on the jerseys? weak...but not that college sports uniforms are not weak anyway...they change all the time and there is no real reason...it's not like they do it to sel more jerseys but if i am not mistaken i do not believe college jerseys are big sellers.

It seems like Mizzou added the "s" in their slogan by mistake! Laughing

It's Monday - the game is almost 48 hours old now. Can some of you grumpy @$$ posters take a break and quit b!tching throughout every single thread. Christ, the OP started an informative thread about uniforms, and 4 of the 5 replies are just people whining about unrelated things.

Thanks OP. By the way, if you look at the inside of the hands on the gloves, it makes the Tigerhead logo when you put the LH and RH side by side. You can see the majority of the Tiger face in the glove on the right side.

Any sort of "inspirational" slogan is going to be inherently cheesy. But what the ___ does "Beast Mode" mean? Is there some back story to it? To me it sounds stupid, like an eleven year old boy came up with it. Most of the other sayings in some way reference the team or unity. If I was lined up across from a player wearing anyting that said "beast mode" on it you better believe there'd be some trash talking regarding what kind of beast I was about to make them Smile

The gloves do look cool though. And its nice to see Mizzou included in the group Nike has chosen to use to introduce their new uniforms.

If I can remember,

Beast M.O.D.E. =

M - Motivation
O - Opportunity
D - Desire
E - Execution

Every year the team comes up with a moto to motivate the team. I would think the team captains come up with these type of things. So if you have a complaint (cheezy/juvenile) I encourage you to take it up with Spoon.

Interesting, What year were these "type of things, first come up with"?

Hey OP, where did you see this. The Nike website has only VT and TCU shown with eight other players blacked out. I assume the blacked out players will be illuminated once their team debuts the uniforms but where did you see that one was gonna be Mizzou? If it's true that's great the tag-line to the uniforms is "10 storied programs, 10 game-changing uniforms." If we are a "storied program"; that is sweet.

I'm just posting quickly here, but check out the Sports Logos message board at SportsLogos.net.

We come across lots of information early on, and while not everything ends up happening, I'm pretty confident the stuff posters have discovered on this topic is legit.

The fact that a picture of the Mizzou gloves exist (and they match the style of the other teams gloves) more or less confirms that Mizzou will exist I think.

I don't say this to take a shot at Mizzou, but I do think it's a little odd that they're included in this group of teams, but good on them I suppose.

It's interesting that Nike's annual uniform experiment, Oregon, is not included.
