For the first time in my life, I'll be hoping for an MU victory.
KSU runs the ball pretty well, but it looks like the Tigers have made some strides in their run defense and if they can gameplan against KSU like they did against my Huskers, the Wildcats will have to throw the ball to win the game.
They can't pass the ball to save their life. I know MU's secondary is awful, but it can't be that bad...can it?
Go Tigers.

Some how, some way, I hope we can find a way to compete Saturday, but I have no confidence that we will.
KSU 55
MU 7 (scored in the 1st half)

Special teams could do the Tigers in...

One thing we will know from the gitgo or soon after.
If game plan adjustments were made, based on whether we Kickoff or Punt the
ball away from the 5' 7" speedster.
If they do we will quickly know the MU coaches did not look at the KSU game films. PERIOD.

A couple of questions for you guys.
Would it be worth it to take the penalty and kick the ball out of bounds on kickoffs so Banks doesn't have a shot at a big return? Where do they get it? The 35 or 40?
The DL is going to have to step up big time!!! If you did it against NU and Helu (although he was dinged up), there's not reason you can't do it against KSU.
Force KSU to beat you through the air. Maybe Gettis getting hurt will help you guys out a bit, unless the guy behind him is worse.
Grant Gregory has thrown for under 100 yards in two of their last four games. I'd say he's not a real threat to beat you in the air.

He looked pretty good against OU. Maybe because he didn't have to throw against KU and Colorado. Those are the two games you speak of and KSU had more than 200 yards rushing in each.

When you are down big, like they were against OU...all they could do was throw the ball. He still topped off around 150 yards. I'd take my chances.

I wonder what K-State's school record for passing yardage is for a single game? Do I even want to know beforehand?

With the success thus far and Josh Freeman stopping the Tampa Bay losing streak yesterday, I'd say all the KSU karma has done been cashed in.

Still not sold on KSU. Lost to the decent teams they played. Have not beaten anyone good and are really far from dominating. The Neb v OU game shows that KSU hanging with OU was not that great of an accomplishment (I acknowledge that it's a good win for NU - but this is not the OU of the past 3 seasons out there).
I agree with the post that Special Teams may be a key. Can't kick it to Banks. Got to take him out of the mix one way or the other.

I agree to some extent about OU not being the OU fo the last three seasons, but Landry Jones is no scrub. Doesn't matter how good your QB is, if your OL is terrible, you won't be good.
