Now I don't know the details of Fedor's contract w/ Strikeforce, but the fact that he's getting $$$ to co-promote the fights overseas opens up a big chunk of change that wasn't there from the UFC & its little dictator. Makes a lot of cents when you add it all up.

So you don't know the details but you'll take a stab at it anyway...

Ok...

By all accounts the Zuffa contract was worth a ton more money than anybody else could offer.

Fedor is run by his manager who's in it for himself. He uses Fedor to promote his terrible fight company known as M1. Many people have spoken about about how shady this guy is...

The UFC has the top fighters in every weight class (less Fedor)...don't try to tell me that their contract is unfair. You have no clue...

Looks like we have a UFC hater. Little dictator. LOL

Unless I'm missing somebody, Fedor may have to rematch Rogers for the simple fact that Strikeforce has nobody else right now at heavyweight. Werdum didn't look too impressive, would rather see Rogers get a shot again.

I think that if Rogers fought Fedor again he would not fair nearly as well as he did this time. He landed immediately as soon as the fight began. I doubt Fedor will walk into another one.

And, how ridiculous were Roger's comments after the fight?

I'm not a UFC hater, I'm a Dana White hater. LOL. I can't stand the guy. He runs his mouth entirely too much. And he's paying his fighters pennies on the dollar. But I like the UFC. I watch it. But they're fighters are extremely underpaid, in comparison w/ boxing.

And Mr. Glo, you're missing my point. Yeah, I don't know the details of the UFC offer, but let's speculate. Let's say Dana was going to give Fedor a $3M signing bonus. Free money. And then he was going to give Fedor $500k per match. That means a win would give him $1M per match, w/ the win bonus. Now you can speculate that it was higher, but let's be reasonable. GSP, Lesnar & Spider are the flagship fighters of the UFC.

Let's look at purses - Silva made $260k last year after beating Dan Henderson. That's including the win bonus.

GSP made $400k (bonus included) in his 2nd bout against BJ Penn.

Brock Lesnar make $400k to beat Mir again.

OK, all those numbers, just to validify my guess. You know Dana White isn't going to pay him too much more than his other fighters, b/c when they're contracts are up, they'll be looking to cash in too. 500k per match would make Fedor the highest paid UFC fighter. Assuming he wins, that's $1M per fight. Plus $3M just to sign.

But...

IF Fedor's M-1 is getting a hefty percentage of the overseas numbers (mainly Russia & Japan), as suspected, he could EASILY surpass those numbers. Again, boxers who sell 1 million PPVs are making 10-20 mil. UFC guys are making 100-200k. So even if the Strikeforce only sells 500k between those two countries, Fedor is a rich(er) man.

Again, this is all speculation. But if my numbers are off, it's not by that much. To guess otherwise would be way out of Zuffa's character. It's all about the $$$ my friend, not fear. Why would Fedor fear anyone, w/ all his accomplishments?

Top UFC guys get a percentage of PPV sales and it accounts for most of their pay.

All of the big name fighters in the UFC earn an additional salary based on a percentage of the pay per view buys...

That's on top of the contracted salary that they release for the commission...and there's also dressing room bonuses to go along with the lucrative sponsorship deals (GSP just signed a fat one with UnderArmor)...

Pat Barry (1-1 in the ufc) just walked away with $120k for fight of the night and ko of the night bonuses...

Only a couple of boxers make the big money in a once a year fight....but that's an accepted sport that's mainstream and has been around for decades....

That is the fight unless they go to Japan to get around the Barnett suspension.

Strikeforce has Overeem then...hmmm...who?

I'm a fan of what Strikeforce put together in this last show but their Hwyt lineup beyond Fedor/Rogers is pitiful:

ALISTAIR OVEREEM - HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION
Daniel Cormier
MIKE KYLE
ANTONIO SILVA
HERSCHEL WALKER
FABRICIO WERDUM

And before anyone says "Werdum" is a good opponent for Fedor...please...styles make fights and Fedor wipes the mat with Fabricio.

Did anyone else roll their eyes watching all Fedor's lackies come hug him after the fight? I mean, how may freakin' people were in the cage???

Yes I thought the same.

The Russian version of a posse. Flashbacks to all the hanger's on who used to run with Tyson.

I listened to an hour long interview with Rogers and his coach about a week before the fight and they acted like the fight would be cake.

Rogers' coach seemed to think that Fedor caught his last few opponents napping. I couldn't believe the :!: I heard spewing from their mouths. They seemed to put a lot of weight in the fact that Rogers dropped Arlovski in 20-ish seconds and Fedor had a bit of trouble with him. I know you should be confident going into a fight, but at least show a little respect for an opponent considered by many the best in the world.
