Am I missing something here? I know he is no "spring chicken" and the Yanks may end up resigning him, but with all the Johnny Damon, Jermaine Dye, left field options being discussed on this board, how has Matsui's name not been brought up? Or has it? Isn't he a 25 plus HR, 100 plus RBI guy with a good average and OBP?

Matsui is not an option. He has been a full-time DH in the American League because his legs prevent him from being able to play the field. He should stay in the AL if he stays in MLB at all.

that would be one of the greatest jobs in sports.
It would be right up there with 3rd string QB,
bullpen cather, or 12th man in the NBA.
You get the big bucks with no pressure and the best seat in the house for every game
