If anybody on this forum was offered 120 million guaranteeed or 100 million guaranteed, which offer would you take? Exactly. Holliday will follow the money...as he should.

Not me. I would take a huge discount for the honor of playing before the self proclaimed best fans in baseball. To be honest, the well thought out rants on this forum would have pretty much sold me on St. Louis as the place to be.

well it really depends where the offers come from.
If Im offered 120 million to work in greenland and 100 million to work in San Deigo Id give up the 20 million to live in California.

But since this is baseball and not to many cities are that bad Id take the 120 million no questions asked.
And use that extra 20 million to visit the city that only offered me 100 million anytime I wanted to.

Being that is such a huge amount of money, meaning I am rich beyond my wildest dreams no matter which deal I accept, then I probably go where I would be the most comfortable. But, I'm not a professional athlete, who has to compete at everything in their lives and is just looking to soothe the male ego, by getting the biggest deal of the winter. I'm sorry, but that's what this is really about. It quit being about financial security years ago. Matt Holliday and his family will be financially secure for the rest of his, and their, lives, regardless of him taking the smallest or largest contract he is offered this winter.
