Seems that many OP's believe that if MacGuire bares his soul and admits to using PED's beyond Andro, it will be a catharsis for him and baseball.

Suppose he admits to only Andro and hard work in the weight room. Is he dismissed as a liar, a scoundrel, or is he taken for his word.

In either case, he looses. In either case the story will eventually fade, unless actual proof is forthcoming.

I find it hard to believe that with so many users of PED's in BB, more evidence hasn't come out. But then I don't believe in the Kennedy conspiracy, or Lincoln's either.

Agreed. Everything will be Rainbows and Lollipops if only Big Mac admits to STEROIDS... not Andro (Which is 100% capable of said effects being attained through the two step process conversion to its host hormone) for all parties involved.... MLB... Big Mac.. LaRussa... that guy in centerfield that video tapes the strike zone so you know the ump is jipping the batter. Yeah.

Can't believe I'm even going to reply to this, but in your opinion if he had nothing to hide, why plead the 5th rather than just say I did not take steriods?

Very simply, once you atart answering questions that the congressmen are asking about steroid use; one leads to another and you end up having to plead 5th amendment anyway. Mac undoubtably knows something about steroid use in baseball. Where do you try to draw the line? He drew the line right at that date and said that he did not want to address the past as it might incriminate himself. The potential questions that could have asked are endless.

I loved what McGwire did about as much as I like lip-synched concerts.

Avoiding the issue is not lying. Mac didn't lie, unlike Sosa ...

"No question about it," Sosa told the Chicago Tribune on Friday. "I am clean, and I always have been clean. There has been a lot of speculation, but they don't have no evidence." 11-11-06

"Sammy Sosa ... is among the players who tested positive for a performance-enhancing drug in 2003, according to lawyers with knowledge of the drug-testing results from that year." NY Times 6-16-09

...and declared Mac must come clean. Of What? Where is your proof? Talk is cheap. Worse than that actually. We will forgive if you come clean. So, don't forgive. Is this the equation? If Canseco and I think/say maybe he did, that settles it?

You're right, most innocent people go into hiding for over 4/yrs and refuse to answer any questions about their possible steriod use......that's normal behavior of an innocent guy. I know, no proof, let's throw common sense out the window though......

I still believe in Santa Claus, nobody has shown me concrete proof that he isn't real. I bet he shed the santa costume and dressed up like my dad that night when I was 9/yrs old and saw him dragging presents under our tree.....again show me proof that he isn't real or I'm going to continue to bury my head into the sand and ignore all the signs pointing to him not being real..........

Cub fans have no common sense. Common sense would have told you to root for another team years ago.

Being a cub fan requires more blind faith than anyone believing in the tooth fairy, Santa Claus, and the Easter Bunny.

Now.......you're just being bitter that your new hitting coach used to put needles in his butt.

No, I couldn't care less what the Cardinals' hitting coach did in the past. It has nothing to do with his current job assignment.

So how do you like Steroid Sammy's new skin tone?

Lee Harvey "Lone Gunman" Oswald? Shah. You only have to watch the Zapruder film to rid your mind of that fairy tale.

It doesn't matter Block because these types simply "believe" and they aren't going to let something like evidence or a silly film of the ACTUAL MURDER get in the way of their beliefs. I have witnessed this my whole life and have given up on these "believers" long ago.
