An apartment complex manager says the man accused of opening fire at Fort Hood, Texas recently had a religious bumper sticker torn off his car.

The manager, John Thompson, says a fellow soldier allegedly keyed Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan's car and ripped up the bumper sticker. Thompson says the soldier had been to Iraq and was upset to learn Hasan was Muslim.

Thompson, who manages the Killeen, Texas complex where Hasan lives, says the bumper sticker read: "Allah is Love." In Arabic, Allah means God.

A report filed on Aug. 16 with Killeen police says Hasan's car had been scratched causing $1,000 worth of damage. The report says an Army employee had been arrested. It didn't provide more details about what happened

So! Some Army radical "red necks" may have contributed to the killers state of mind.

If you were the judge, what kind of punishment would you hand out to the soldier who keyed Husam's car?
Would you release his name? Should the Army keep the guy?

Yeah. That is what did it. Rolling Eyes

I guess rednecks contributed to the Muslim that shot the recruiters a couple of months ago also?

Give me a break.

We don't know if those things really happened....or who did them.

On thing is for sure. Husam deserves the firing squad.

If I were the judge, I would fine the vandal, require him to pay restitution and perform 40 hours of community service.

I'd release his name and let him stay in the Army.

It's quite a stretch to say this in any way contributed to mass murder. Vandalism occurs every day and people don't respond by murdering strangers.

are you :!: serious? Why are people trying to justify what this nut job did? If someone keyed his car he should punished in the way people are normally punished for keying someone's car. HAving your car keyed is not a legit reason to start killing people.

Hasan is 100% guaranteed to either get the Federal death penalty or most likely the military deathy penalty, both of which exist.

It's a miracle Hasan wasn't killed when first responders showed up.

In England they used to executed within 30 days of sentence but with throngs of appeals and motions it will take some years before he orders his grand deluxe last meal.

It's nice to know that if I ever flip out and go on a murderous rampage, there will be people willing to blame anyone who ever wronged me.

For the record, a kid rode his bike through my grass, start with blaming him.

In college 23 yrs ago I had some as-yet-unnamed idiot(s) (the search has gone cold all these yrs later) tear the hood ornament off my car, key it, hammer and destroy the hubcaps, and bust out the rear taillights and the headlights.

How did I manage to avoid going all Texas Chainsaw Massacre on the world???

First, it's Marines, not marines. Second, there won't be Marines, probably not Army MPs guarding him. More than likely FBI, if not Army MPs. Third, should his guards kill him, even accidentally, they will go to prison for murder one. Leavenworth isn't a fun spot to be a prisoner.

As far as the keying 'redneck'; if the Army turns him over to the locals, his career is over, done, perhaps a dishonorable discharge and court martial. If the Army punishes him, whatever the UCMJ calls for he'll get, probably busted, career over.

The General
A few years ago my wife's car was vandalized with spray paint. Twice. Somehow she was able to keep it all together and not go on a murderous rampage. I don't know how she did it.
