Post subject: Favorite Nurseries?? Where, and why?

Please take the time to name your favorite local plant nursery(ies), where they are located, why you like them, and hours, if you know that info.
I'm hoping to learn of some new places besides Bayers and Garden Heights, based on recommendations.
Thanks in advance!

I really like Rolling Ridge. There's always at least a half dozen people milling around helping customers. Each one has their own specialties; if you ask someone a question, they'll usually call over the resident "expert" on the topic. You get the feeling that a lot of them are old-timers who really know their stuff. They have a good selection of natural weed and pest control. They have a very good vegetable selection as well as flowers. As garden centers go, they're fairly reasonable. Any premium over the home center is well worth it, IMO.

A short drive to Piasa, IL.
They have a wide variety of plants you normally can't find elsewhere.
Husband and wife own the place.
It is really worth the drive.

My favorite nursery is Hartke Nursery. It is a full service nursery, with a wide variety of annuals, perrenials, trees and shrubs. They also have a produce stand with local fruits and vegetables.
