Crossbow. KILLS EVERYTHING! Pricey but the 1 gallon will last you for a long time. Only place I ever found it was on ebay. Just do a search on ebay for crossbow herbicide.

Roundup works for me. Won't kill forever, you'll have to apply twice a summer. Works on ear and back hair also. Wink

Does anyone have a product that they use that kills all vegetation. I have weeds growing behind my dumpster against my fence. I would like something that would kill them forever. I am sick of mowing the alley Question

Nothing will keep weeds away forever, but what you want is a "persistent, non-selective herbicide", such as Ortho Ground Clear.

Roundup will kill everything, but they will grow right back.

For a free solution, you can pour boiling water on the weeds. Also not persistent, but will kill everything. And is emotionally satisfying. Cool

neighbors? You spray w/hot water? Would be worth it to me for such easy solution. My brother moved to country and got rid of his neighbors. Why do they have to be so nosy? Live and let live is my motto. Can't they get a life?

The past few years I've bought a few different brands and they've all worked. Just look at the labels and make sure you get something that says it will kill all types of plants down to the roots.

I think the key is to get a root killer. I spray a few inches around my plastic mail box base so I don't have to weed whack against it and stain/scrap it and it works wonders. I do the same against a stone retaining wall and the stuff stays dead all year.

I wouldn't spend a ton of money on a name brand, because some of those weed killers can get up to 30 bucks! Just get a cheaper brand but make sure that it fits your needs and read the directions of how/when to spray and I've found that doing it during a dry spell also seems to kill them much much quicker.

that round up extend has done a pretty good job on my driveway this year. trouble is ,now it makes me see the places i missed and i might need to drop another wad of cash for another jug, the boiling water thing does work but not for the whole season. you may need to set up a turkey fryer in the yard to get enough hot water to take care of the problem. but it is environmentally friendly.one thought though, you mention having to mow this stuff, can you dig down a bit, layer out some tar paper and bury it with rock of mulch? may still have weeds at the edges.

Pramitol herbicide will sterilize the soil for about a year. Kill everything with Roundup first.
