2009- All 4 Freshman continue to impress and have set a very strong foundation for many years to come.

2010- Jereme Richmond, Crandall Head, & Myers Leonard ALL EAGER TO SIGN in November. This class is ranked as high as 2nd in the country.

Leonard is quoting as saying he is recruiting St.Louis stud Brad Beal and they text on a regular basis.

2011- Top 20 recruit Tracy Abrams and Top 50 Nnana Egwu have already verballed. Also high on the UI list:

Brad Beal- appears to be a KU/UI lean over the rest....has said he would like to commit before this season. 5 star phenom that would be a perfect fit.

Chasson Randle- Another stud with a strong interest in UI. He plays with Egwu and Abrams in AAU. His AAU coach is a big UI supporter. Some say he may be waiting on Beal. I say let's get them both. Cool

James Siakam- A lot of followers are extremely high on this in state big man. More to come.

Delvin Langford / Quincy Miller- Both have shown a very strong interest in Illinois. Miller is being wooed by Duke, Kentucky, UNC but has some Illinois ties. Those close to UI (Klee) say it may come down to a Duke/UI race. Langford from Alabama and is rising fast. Not a lot of info and is still on our radar, but may fade with a Beal and/or Randle verbal.

With 2 quality commits ALREADY, 2011 looks to be another Top 5, Top 10 class with any combinations listed above. ( 5 total schollies in 2011 available)

FWIW, there were also nationally ranked Fresh and Soph's from Indiana and Illinois at Midnight Madness from the 2012 and 2013 class. I know....but that's when Richmond verballed too. Cool

He'd be perfect to go along with Abrams and Egwu. That would be some class and allow us to go after specific needs for 2012 class.

Latest from Klee is that it's down to KU, UI and Florida....and the fam may be leaning towards closer to home.

Decision could come within a couple weeks. Hopefully that would be right after a visit to C-U.

More word is that 5 star recruit Quincy Miller who has interest in UI-Duke may have a favorite with a Beal commit.

And I'm also hearing that Mizzou is making up a lot of ground. Whether or not that will be enough is unclear.

My son's jaw dropped at his school, Avon HS, Indiana when BAM and Jerrance came strolling down the hallway yesterday. They were there to see 2012 recruit Austin Burgett. I think they visited some other ball players in the Indy area too. Very busy time.

Beal will committ in the next 2 weeks. I hear Weber and entire staff have been working hard and doing a good job, also hear Beal thinks Illinois has to many gaurds already. Mizzou is in the picture.
