It was so great how everyone thought they were the next big thing after 2 wins over overrated teams, glad I wont be hearing anymore of that talk.

Was Missouri moved into the top 10 after 2 wins? Illinois Furman Bowling Green and Nevada are what they are average to subpar teams. Do you realize what overrated means?

Its silly to call a team losing on the road to another ranked team overrated, every team must be overrated because just about every one of them find a way to lose.
Anyone can win or lose in todays game its all about who's best that day, just look at FSU they almost get beat at home by Jacksonville State go crush BYU at home after they beat OU then get own by S Florida back at home.

yes I know what overrated means. And if Mizzou had opened the season with wins over teams like FSU and Ga Tech (on national TV no less) they would have been in the top 10 as well.
But Mizzou keeps scheduling the Furman's and Bowling Green's of the world and don't even look impressive in beating them. Mizzou fans have no right to complain about other schools ranked ahead of them who have played and beaten better teams.
Now go beat Nebraska and Texas and get your respect...

I didn't realize anyone was talking about Illinois, Furman, Bowling Green, or Nevada being BCS contenders. I was also unaware that those teams were getting any media love. I guess you have some weird channels where you live or something.
I love when people come on here and think they just made the most clever post ever and let you know about it with the LOL, when in reality they just show how idiotic they are for not understanding what overrated means. A team isn't overrated just because they aren't good. When a team is overrated it means they aren't as good as everyone seems to think they are. Now, with that knowledge I have bestowed upon you, go forth and try to not look like a moron in the future.

Some big loses, upsets and near upsets today and the day's not finished. It will be interesting to see what the polls look like tomorrow afternoon.

OK ace, you tell me why Miami is overrated? Because some jealous Mizzou fan says so? They lose to a top 10 team on the road and that proves they are overrated? Mizzou looks horrible against Nevada and Bowling Green yet the fans rip Miami for jumping into the top 10 for beating 2 opponents that Mizzou doesn't have the nerve to schedule. Give me a break.

I don't know why ANYONE whines about the AP poll. The AP polls means absolutely nothing.
Miami is currently ranked 13th in the Coaches poll, the poll that matters. Virginia Tech is ranked 12th in the coaches poll.
Miami earned their position because they came out the gate and beat two quality opponents. IF Mizzou would have done the same thing they would've been ranked higher than where they are in the coaches poll.
Quit whining about a poll that matters for nothing but a beauty contest. It makes you look pretty lame.

First off, that still doesn't account for your complete lack of understanding what overrated actually means. Now, Miami was/is overrated for the following reasons:
1. They had only played two games.
2. Several other teams were 3-0, but lacked the marquee name, thus they weren't being humped by the media (Cincinnati, Kansas, North Carolina, Missouri)
3. Houston is ranked below them despite having a much better win on their resume.
4. Miami's wins aren't as impressive as most seem to think. Florida State is a very inconsistent team and really isn't that good. Miami's primary reason for skyrocketing up the rankings was FSU beating BYU. Most teams don't get shot to the top simply because a team they beat beat someone else. This, all despite the fact that FSU nearly lost to Jacksonville State. Georgia Tech got ranked after beating that same Jacksonville State and scraping by Clemson. So they barely beat an inconsistent FSU and GT.
Besides all that, yeah Miami was/is the 9th best team in the country
. No one on here said Mizzou should be ranked ahead of them. They are simply saying that Miami's name gets them ranked and ranked highly any time the media has the chance to do so. The same can be said of many name programs that aren't really that great; Notre Dame, FSU, UCLA, Georgia, Nebraska, etc.

Who said anyone was even talking about polls? Miami was overrated as in the hype that they were getting for beating some other over hyped teams. When they are talking about Miami's qb for the heisman an Miami for a national championship after beating those 2 scrubs is what we were talking about. Or you could just come in an completely rant off subject that works too.

Why the hell would we schedule a tough OOC schedule? Thats stupidity, if we get through the Big 12 undefeated we will be in the national title game
