I'm not a fan of SLUH, or private schools in general, but do you seriously believe that most SLUH student's have trust funds? There is simply too much acrimony on this board. Anonymity seems to give some of us license to rip away. Of course private schools recruit to a certain extent. Otherwise they would not exist. It's the degree to which the recruiting is geared toward athletics that is in question. It was the same when public schools were under court order to recruit student's of a race that had once been denied admission to their schools. They were required to recruit African Americans. Was there an effort to select athletic African Americans. Some people in the system did just that. I'm not certain if any of us have a good idea of what is right and what is wrong on this issue.
