It's quite another to be bundled to the nines, freezing your feet and face right off, while a batter steps out five times to adjust his batting gloves and helmet, and a manager walks to the mound to talk about postgame dining, and the pitcher intentionally walks a hitter, and a reliever jogs in from the bullpen to face one hitter, and he makes eight warmup pitches, and the manager uses 9 pitchers in a 3-2 games, and a pitcher throws to first base six times, and you wait out four-minute commercial breaks every half-inning, and.........
Yes, Baseball is still being played! As a huge Phillies fan, I wish we would have played the Cards instead of the Dodgers!! I think the Cards were a much better team, but things didn't quite work out that way. If I could get tickets, I would gladly sit through the cold weather to be there. If the Cards were in it, I think most people in Stl would too!
