I look for Nebraska to lose next week against
Okla. and Mizzou to win which would make them even
at 2-3 records in the Big 12 l know Nebraska would win it if the end up with the same records. But l believe Mizzou could win the rest of their games and l guess we have to hope Nebraska loses 1 of their remaining games.
l would put our chances at about 40% if l was to make a guess

We have a shot but only if our offense can be consistent and play 2 halves of football from here on out. With the remaining schedule all games are winnable, but KSU is looking tough against OU right now.

I'd say the K-State game will be the key...they got knocked down and almost out by OU tonight and game back to nearly stun the Sooners. Their second half performance was impressive...their kick returner is better than Maclin. If we win that...we have a good chance to be 4-3 going into Kansas and I like our chances in that game. I think Nebraska ends up going 4-4...my only problem with winning the north is having to get embarrassed by Texas again in the Jerry JonesDome. In a way I'd almost rather go 9-3 and tie and lose the north and go to a decent bowl game so we don't have have to play in that game. I think we are a year or two away from being able to compete in that game.

KU beats Nebraska and Mizzou wins out. Then it is Mizzou turn to get hammered again by Texas. Be careful what you wish for.

Is anyone really going to "win" the North this season? Laughing

i fully expect NU to drop the next game against OU, and one of the next 3 after. 2 of them on the road, Colorado always plays them tough and KSU looks like a much improved team.

NU is a mess, they where lucky to salvage that win against the Tigers in the monsoon with a hurt qb. They thought the glory days had arrived again, but now they have a qb controversy brewing along with KU (got yanked in the 4th qtr). I have a feeling both these teams are going to be mediocre for a while and KSU under Snyder is going to be MU's challenger for the North for the next few seasons.

I'll agree that the K-State game is the key. Starting off 0-fer wasn't an unpredictable circumstance and Mizzou can win the North by winning out. But that K-State game will probably mean everything.

I hate to say it, as my name might indicate, but it's Mizzou's to win. Nebraska's offense is a nightmare. I have no confidence in looking at NU's schedule and checking off a win.
None.
Good luck to you guys for the rest of the season.

At this point, a 3-5 or 4-4 at best finish in the North seems likely. I can't see us winning out and sweeping the two Kansas teams - we'll be fortunate to split these games. Fine with me for NU to win the North and get spanked by Texas.

Have to disagree and I'm as skeptical as anyone..

I've seen K-State play CU and they're awful..and any team (KU) that loses to CU can't be that hard to beat.

MU should win the next four games..

K-State game is the key game

I dont see KU beating K sate in Manhatten

& diito for Mizzou - has to beat k- state

But Pinkle has never beat a Bill Snyder team

Never..

even in Synder last year 2005 when KSU was 3-7

Snyder Beat Pinkle

K- state wins North at
5-3
7-5 overall
Gets pounded by Texas

I see Tigers at 3-5 in conference
(Mangino -owns pInkel as well) -outside 2007 game Pinkle 1-4 vs. Fat Man

Mizzou
7-5 - headed to Insight Bowl
