I saw this in your Bernie Bits column: "poor form by Rams safety Oshiomogho Atogwe, to be dancing to the music being piped into Ford Field during a timeout. It was his misfortune to have the moment caught on TV by FOX; other than that we may not have known about it. But that’s not really the point. You don’t do that when your team is 0-7. It just doesn’t look right. And Atogwe hasn’t made many high-impact plays this season; according to STATS LLC he has one INT, only three pass defenses and no forced fumbles or fumble recoveries. But he does rank second on the Rams defense in tackles…"

I go to many rams games, even during this pathetic season, and I've seen this "dance act" out of the entire defense and Atogwe. As far as Atogwe is concerned, he is second only to Ed Reed in turnover creation in the past few years, he can dance all he wants.

Yeah, I think Bernie overreacted a bit on this one. If the Rams were down 30-7 and he was dancing it would be one thing. He was just having a little fun waiting for play to resume after a TV timeout. Just because they're a bad team doesn't mean they can't have a little fun every now and again. His numbers may be down but with as horrid as the Ram CBs are you can't expect the guy to be everywhere. Pressure creates turnovers. The Rams don't pressure the passer. Not Atogwe's fault.

Overreacted? Give. Me. A. Break. When you are a winless team, you don't dance...you run off the field. But only in 2009 would people actually think a losing team should be out there dancing and acting like a bunch of fools.

I guess the fans are the fools in this one.

So you want him to run off the field while they're waiting to restart play. Uh...what?

Slaten spoke about this yesterday. It wasn't just Atogwe, there was someone else dancing with him. I don't remember who he said it was. Also, do you know when they were dancing? It happened during the stoppage in play right after our kickoff for giving up that wonderful safety on the interception. So, the defensive unit makes a boneheaded play ..... then we dance. Laughing

The Ramies are amusing.

atogwe is terrible....that interception total last year was a fluke.he has to be one of the worst safeties in coverage.lots of tackles...but its because he is there way too late

Maybe some players do this to keep their muscles loose during the TV time outs. Or maybe they are just hyper and it's a way to ease tension while waiting for play to resume. Players have to spend a lot of time just standing around on the field during TV time outs. It's no big freaking deal if some of them don't just stand there like statues while waiting.

Really? So you support this jackass dancing right after the play where his safety partner (butler)just took a safety on yet another retarded play by a Ram player on an 0-7 team? I bet you also support the gold-tooth look along with chest thumping after a routine play, or better yet how about Ron Bartell standing over a WR acting tough cause he made a big hit.....after a 30 yard gain. The NFL doesn't need fans like you. Fans like you and acts like Atogwe in the "me-first" league is what has ruined what was once a great sport.

Maybe. Or, maybe he's just another stupid Ramie with no common sense. Maybe. Laughing
