I just simply don't see him being a franchise QB. He seems to be a right handed Tim Tebow with less talent around him. He is barely completing 50% of his passes and 12 TDs vs 8 interceptions. 56% completion % in college is NOT a good trend to having a successful NFL career. What am I missing here that makes people think he should be a #1 pick? Jimmy Clausen is the only franchise QB that could be available this year and if he doesn't come out and the Rams are picking in the top 3, there is no QB worth taking.

He will come out being that he is likely to be the first qb taken and the fact that there may be a rookie salary cap the next year.

This is Jimmy Clausen we're talking about. He went to ND simply to play for Charlie Weis and be in a pro style offense with a coach that coached in the NFL. I don't think he cares about Notre Dame's past. He has been dying to be in the NFL forever. He showed up to college in a limo. He is cocky and confident and :!: talented. There is no doubt in my mind he will think he is ready and will be told he'll be a top 5 pick and he will come out.

I would be cool with Clausen or Bradford. Id Clausen arm stronger than Marc Bulgers? I wanna see an accurate gunslinger here!

Jake Locker is big runs a 4.4 40, has a strong arm, and is accurate. His completion % is misleading because he has horrible recievers that balatantly drop balls. Jay Cutler and Drew Brees never had good numbers in college because of the talent around him.

Ya, I guess because I question a QB's ability and back it up with stats that makes me a Mel Kiper wannabe? I guess I should just stick with your M.O of trolling on threads and managing to accomplish to amazing ability of never having an intelligent thought. Good idea. But I get it..You live on a Ranch in Nevada so I just have to assume you have a wife who probably outweighs half your livestock, a 10th grade education tops, and nothing going well in your life so you have to take random shots on a message board to make you smile just enough so the 3 teeth you have left actually show. Say hello to my ignore button.

I simply want Locker just for the simple fact he does good despite the sorry team around him.
Which would be the same here.

replace Jake Locker above with Vince Young
When you have to start making excuses about a top picks stats, imo it means he is not a top pick.

When you list a QB attributes and the first thing mentioned is his 40 time its not a good sign.

I would rather have a guy that avoids the rush and finds the open receiver then a guy that tucks and runs(although he is pretty effective at it) I know he doesn't tuck and run as much anymore, then that 40 time is even that less important.

If Clausen is taken before we pick then take Locker ...given the Choice of any QB I go

1 Clausen
2a Locker
2b Bradford (if completely cleared and does an extensive personal workout with the full coaching staff)
