I know 85% of the people on here probably don't see the progress of this team but I do, and not just after that one win.

Does anybody remember what Spags said he wanted this football team to be??

A run it down your throat football team!!

It seems to me that's exactly what he's doin.... Jackson is tearing it up and he gets around 53% of the touches a game compared to the next closest at around 43%. They have one of the biggest if not the biggest interior lines in the game (BUT STILL FANS THINK RAMS WOULD BE BETTER OFF WITH BACKUPS????). We also have great talent we drafted this year to build on like our 1st,2nd,3rd round picks. But really though people...... is that all you people can do is just criticize any minor thing dealing with the Rams like how Bulger parted his hair the other way for week 7s game and it OBVIOUSLY made him struggle in the 4th? That's what every post seems like.

Im not a coach and I don't know every players assignment like everybody in here, so sorry if im wrong.

So thank you Spags, and keep up the good work! Even though I know it takes a little time and patience, I know wins and losses don't tell the whole story about the Rams desire to win because this is obviously a rebuilding year(but still people will be confused as to why were aren't in the playoffs yet). Spags you've been around only winners and you know what your doing and knows what it takes to bring another Championship to the Rams. I know im not throwing in the towel on Spags especially after week 7. haha

Very Happy

Aww What? Are you gonna cry about it?

The worst part about this board is posters that claim to know to much..

I have been noticing since day one that this team has improved.. They do put the best player on the field.. All the complaining about Smith not starting but the guy did GREAT against the Lions and will get better!

When a lineman goes down, another steps up! That is what Spags was talking about.. He has and continues to raise the bar and expectations..

Many will say that you are paying Smith 60m a year so he must play LT... Spags take is that you are making 60m a year you should know how to play RT and LT and both guard spots!

Most lineman and announcers will tell you the hardest thing to do is switch sides because everything is opposite.. This kid has experienced some hard times (Peppers schooling him..lol), but he is learning it all!

Expectations are much higher! SJ is a better blocker this year, because Spags does not work by the philosophy of being a great runner that can catch is enough. It's not!

The bar has been raised, it will take longer to get it right.. But we will have versatile lineman on both sides of the ball and just move on if somebody does go down!

Our seasons were lost when Pace went down.. This is not going to be the case in the future. Because Spags has raised the bar!

We are far from being a good team, but we are very far from the JZ, Linny, Haz regime.

I'm stoked.

Spags is doing a good job and it shows every week. But because of the media bobblehead even when we win that have to trash the most highlighted position on the team. Sadly, the fans and the media still don't understand that a "team" has to win games. Matt Cassel comes to mind. How's that turning out for him now? Cool

Ok...this is at least the second time you've posted something on Smith being "schooled by Peppers". Could you be possibly referring to Dwight Freeney?

Not going to malign "Spags" but hey, it WAS the Lions. He, and his assistants, do what little any Coaches would be able to do with the sorry lineup of players, particualrlly on Offense, that they have to work with. The bright spots are few, Jackson, and a few on Defense. The new losing streak starts with their next game and will go at least 8 games. If, and how far, it goes into next season depends on offseason developments and next seasons schedule. They went 0 for their last 17 before this "glorious" win and better make some seriously good player personnel decisions to avoid a repeat of that performance.

Not sure I agree with your math, but Spags IS doing a great job with the material he has on hand, at least in my opinion. I can only imagine what this team will look like once we have accumulated some solid talent, and although that may take another couple seasons, you can see that the players have bought into his philosophy. The Rams may not be very good, but they do appear to be playing their hearts out, ... something we haven't witnessed for the last few years. I much prefer watching the youngsters fight the good fight rather than watching the aged vets of yesteryear not living up to their billing. JMO.

I dont even count that as a win because of the opponent but I do see improvements but like I said though

Yup ... that's what I was talking about too.

Yes, there has been improvement. At the beginning of the season they would have had no chance of beating the Lions and they actually did that Sunday. My point, really, is that despite a creeping improvement, they have a very long journey ahead of them in their quest for legitimacy.

Spags has done a good job with the players he was given. Although hiring Shurmur as OC is questionable it's not like he had a lot of people to pick from. The only thing i haven't liked is the Witherspoon trade for a 5th round pick and Gibson. I just hope that he can have a Mike Shanahan or Jeff Fisher run with us instead of the 3 years most coaches get

I am very high on the New Rams Management.

We are seeing some really solid foundation building right now that will pay dividends in the not too distant future.

Every game this year we have seen improvement. It may feel like sliding backwards, but the stuff that needs to happen has been happening.

I love the "never quit" stuff we're seeing.
