In county, smoking ban captures advantage among absentees

Read into this what you like: Absentee ballots in St. Louis County favor the smoking ban by a wide margin.
The first results posted of the day show 69 percent of voters who filled out their ballots early support the smoking ban. The raw numbers, from the county election board:
YES: 4,872 (68.83)
NO: 2,206 (31.17)
In Kirkwood, where voters are deciding a separate, municipal smoking ban, about 73 percent of absentee voters — 244 votes — backed the proposal.
The county emergency radio communications sales tax was also faring well, netting about 64 percent of the absentee ballots.
