Gay marriage has now lost in every single state -- 31 in all -- in which it has been put to a popular vote.

Seems like consistency.

Because someone told them that some random passages in the Bible said that god doesn't love "the gays".

People are incredibly petty.

That would only be that small portion of the population who are pacifists who believe

"thou shalt not kill".

It certainly wouldn't include, say marines, would it?

Top 40 radio is consistent, but that doesn't mean it's the best music out there or even a good idea to listen to it. Consistency usually only consists of rigid adherence to something familiar.

Gay people should have a right to get married. Churches should not be legally required to perform the ceremonies with no penalty. Everybody retains their basic freedoms.

God, I'm awesome.... Wink

How about these bible facts:

It's Exodus, not look at Rex's a$$

It's Deuteronomy, not Do it to me Rodney

It's Song of Solomon, not Song of Sodomy

It's Judges, not Dipping for Fudges

And how about the fact that only 50% of the total U.S. population considers themselves religious? That would leave about another 50% that don't care too much about what the Bible says, don't take it seriously, and understand that it is not our legal doctrine.

That the same book that has that

"thou shalt not kill"

"turn the other cheek"

"do unto others"

stuff in it?

That's the one! It also covers some hot steamy incest, maybe I can use that to marry my sister.

I'm glad that the people of Maine once again showed that this movement is completely asinine.

Here's a newsflash. The idea of gay marriage is not fighting for equality. There is no inequality in marriage before the law. The law states you can marry someone of the opposite sex. It's the same for every person, no matter what your emotions are.

This is not a partisan issue. Red states and blue states oppose it, and there is no logical reason to support it.

There is no reason to support something to appease a group of people when their acts are simply anatomically incorrect.

Gay marriage will eventually become a non issue. It will be legal in all states. It will become no more noticable than interracial marriage. It will take some time but it will happen. Smile
