Should the Cards sign him?
I'm going to say NO if it costs anything more than 2 million or if he makes it clear that he'd be unwilling to go to the bullpen out of spring training.

Agreed, starter no, bullpen yes.
Either way, it's going to be more than $2 million.

An emphatic YES but I would go as high as $3.5M for one year.

I'd be fine with him in a middle/setup relief role, and some spot starts, kinda like that guy they released- what's his name, the guy that's supposed to win a Cy Young.
I'd say give $2-2.5M w/ some incentives that could make it up to 4 or so.

I seriously doubt that Smoltz will sign for Aaron Miles money at this stage of his career, with his pedigree.

Yes as a starter going into ST but with the understanding that if they 5 starters who are better then he goes to the pen.
I really don't think he will agree to a contract knowing that he has no chance to start.
