Chaminade 35, Summit 3 — Rob Standard carried 31 times for 231 yards and four touchdowns as the Red Devils (8-3) had an easy time with 3-8 Summit.

Is this kid going to get a Mizzou offer? (2011 class)

I don't know, there are just a TON of great running backs in that class Pierson, Miller from Blue Springs and a couple of others whose names escape me at the moment.

He's a good player though, I've seen him play before. Might be more of a backup plan for Mizzou though with all of the in state talent for that year.

2011 is going to be a big year for RB recruits in state of Missouri. Missouri already has offers out to Anthony Pierson at Gateway High, and Kody Walker of Jeff City. Additionally, Darrian Miller at Blue Springs is turning some heads. These have the potential to be high level recruits IMO, particularly Pierson, who will likely generate some national attention from what I've heard.

Standard has some Big 10 interest. If he wants to play RB, I wouldn't be surprised to see him end up there.

By the way, Chaminade has a couple other 2011 prospects of interest. Brandon Hannah, WR, 6'3" 4.5 speed already has a Mizzou offer and is a big MU fan. He noted in a prior interview a very good chance of being a Tiger at some point down the line. Christian Suntrup is Chaminade's QB and also has gotten offers from NU, KU and Stanford, but no MU offer as of yet. I think MU is taking a wait and see approach with further 2011 QB offers since Berkstresser is already in the fold, and we haven't seen how things have played out yet in 2010 at the QB position.

I think Brandon Hannah would play basketball at Mizzou before football!

Hasn't Mizzou also offered that big RB over on the east side?

I've had word that it'd already happened a while ago," Hannah told PowerMizzou.com. "My coach has been talking to them for a while, but I guess it officially happened today."

Missouri is recruiting Hannah as a wide receiver, continuing its recent trend of going for big, physical pass catchers. At 6-foot-3, 215-lbs, Hannah has the size to catch passes in traffic, and with a 4.5-second 40, he's got the explosiveness to blow by defensive backs.

"The strongest part of my game is after I catch the ball," Hannah said. "Making people miss, picking up more yards."

Hannah's sophomore season ended before it began, as he suffered a knee injury early on. He tore some cartilage and his meniscus, but said he's 100% now.

"I missed four or five games at the start of the basketball season," Hannah, who helped lead Chaminade to a state title, said. "But I was back to full speed pretty quickly."

Now, Hannah's recruiting is sure to pick up steam after such an early offer. He's hearing from other Big 12 schools, but Missouri is still his only offer. He said that's sure to make a difference.

"Oh yeah, I'm a big Tigers fan," Hannah said. "I love Missouri.

"Missouri is number one on my list, too. There's a very strong possibility I'll commit to Missouri, but I'm going to wait till the end of my junior year, because it's still so early."

Article from PM earlier this year after he was offered in FB. Sounds like quite an athlete. Rivals lists him as WR in their database. If anyone has anything more recent on him, please add...

Rodney Coe, Edwardsville, is who I think you're referring to. Although he is not listed in the Rivals database as having an MU offer, in an article with the Illini Rivals guy a few months ago he mentioned he had verbal offers to Illinois, KSU, and MU. To be honest, he sounds like a pretty big Illini lean in the article.

Well in that case, he sucks! Who needs him!

That's unfortunate. I think Mizzou could really use a good power running back.

Brandon Hanna tore his ACL for the second time this summer at a 7on7 tournament. Then transferred to Hazelwood West. He does have a verbal offer from Mizzou, but it remains uncertain with his latest injury. He is a great kid I just think that he was poorly advised by a family member to transfer to HZW.
