They are talking about him now on MLB network

He's a lefty from cuba who throws 103mph

I have a theory that in the playoffs, one of the key pieces is a shut-down, hard throwing guy out of the pen. Whether its a closer or a set-up guy.

Thoughts...?

Yes. Possibly a very rich starter, likely to the evil empire.

Thats what I thought. Seems like putting him into the pen is a waste of his apparent talent

Apparently he has met with the Yanks, Mets, Sox, Cardinals, White Sox, Dodgers, and Cubs so far.

There are some questions about his age, and he is looking for a signing bonus larger than Strasberg's.

The meeting with the Cardinals got canceled because of the La Russa press conference. I heard it was going to be rescheduled but haven't heard when. He's also looking for up to $60mil to sign so I think that rules us out anyway. It will be down to the Red Sox or Yankees most likely.

By the time Miller is here, Carp will probably be gone or not a true number one anymore. I'd probably put Jaime Garcia in there.

I kind of thought that but I figured he11 ill put him down anyway. Still like the rotation without him.

Will likely get more than the 32 mil that Jose Contreras got a few years ago from the Yankees.
