And of course Webster I still think they go undefeated in the Suburban North bc I think they are the best team in the state

Wrong to the tenth power. Webster Groves would not beat Hazelwood Central, especially the way they are playing now.
Well it's too bad there's 6A football because now we'll never get to see

I see Desmet being stopped by winning the state title. They are very talented. They are like a sub north team with excellent coaching. As for Webster I think it will be hard for them to beat Parkway North twice.

Well if they survive Jeff City, then maybe Hazelwood Central in the finals. Let's not forget they still have to play some KC teams.

What happened to McCluer North? So much for Sub north dominating everyone. In the playoffs any one can win.

McCluer North was not a dominant Suburban North team, and lost to a team with a better record, so this is not a win to brag on.

Let Lafayette beat Haz. Central, and then assess.

Ahh... but McCluer North beat Haz. Central. I'm not a Lafayette fan just tired of hearing that the sub north has the only good football teams around. There are a lot of good teams. Sub North has more speed than most conferences and speed kills but that doesn't automatically make them better. I would be surprised in HC wins it all.

I equate the Sub North to a high level D1 team. Just because you have the best players does not mean you win all the time things happen. Before the game I know people thought McCluer North was going to blow by Lafayette. Now I am reading excuses about the Northstars not being that good. I am not upset about people doubting Lafayette, based on rep the Northstars should have won. However you don't play the game on rep. Northstars beat Central for the 2nd year in a row. Lafayette in my opinion stat wise had more firepower last year and would have won last year if Kyle Green would have played both ways. Lafayette last year had QB Tyler Rigman 2000yds passing,All State both ways WR/DB Ian Moore 51 catches 841 yds 2nd in the state 400 in front of your Sub North boys,Jordan Levy 54 catches 839 and Alex Caito who is hurt this year All State 87 solos 106 total tackles. Along with the 23 points that North was spotted last year they should consider themselves lucky they won last year. North has more speed and speed kills but not yesterday. Now as far as Central and Lafayette I would rather have seen this matchup last year. The Hawks are a year older and maturer. The Lancers are hobbled. Caito and Green are hurting but thats why you play the game. Like I said the team with the most talent should win most of the time. But not all the time see Navy/Notre Dame yesterday. This may step on some toes but I remember before 1985 and I bring that year up because Vanzant brought the title to Hazelwood Central. As a junior high student from 79-81 I remember Central being good,East having more speed than central but could get past them in the post season. Central would go to old Busch Stadium and get beat beat by a Rockhurst,Jeff City,Joplin Parkwood or Springfield team. Webster Groves wth Tracy Mack tied those Jays one Year at state. There is a Suburban North bias and I understand that having started in what was then 2 of the best conferences in St.Louis the Sub North and the ABC conference. Lets just give the Lancers props for winning.
