Today's Round Two question:

QUESTION: Brett Hull will enter the Hockey Hall of Fame next week. There are a lot of great names and great players in the long history of the St. Louis Blues. If you had to pick one person historically as the face of the franchise, would that person be Brett Hull?

I still say Brian Sutter exemplifies the Blues more than Hull did but Hull is a close 2nd.

If I had to list who to put as the face I'd say:

1.Brian Sutter
2.Brett Hull
3.Bernie Federko
4.Al Macinnis
5.Barclay Plager

I really can't comment before 1980 since that was before my time.

I would say it depends on the age of someone.

To me as a youngster without a doubt it was Garry Unger or Barclay Plager.

Was never a huge Sutter fan although he played a gritty game and always gave his all. I would put Federko ahead of Sutter.

That being said without a doubt Brett Hull is the face of the franchise. He put the Blues on the map and kept them there for several years. Of course not only with his goals but always good for soundbites.

I don't think it's just a coincidence amatuer hockey exploded in popularity when he was here.

I think it will be a long time before someone overtakes him.

What?? Federko WAS the Blues the entire 1980s along with Brian Sutter.

Federko is still the 2nd leading scorer in Blues HISTORY or is he the first??

I know he's up there!

#1 in points and assists. The only person to score 1000 points as a Blue.

Good old MacInnis is #1 in my heart. He's still cares so much for this team and it's players. Hull put this team on the map no doubt, but he's not a die hard Blue the way I feel MacInnis is.

THANK YOU! You can even make the case Federko is the face of the Blues franchise. He gave everything and stayed loyal except that one last season in Detroit which he even said didn't feel right.

Plus Federko has STAYED in St.Louis while Hull and Sutter have both bolted!
