They're struggling now for sure.... too early to tell though.

I will say one thing though, I've read many people that EJ was the solution to all our problems. EJ needs some learning experience.

Our D is highly questionable at this point in time with respect to experience and offense. EJ and Petro will take time to develop..it will happen but will just take time. In addition, Mason isn't a stud. Sure there are concerns...but I like the direction in which the ship is sailing

Wait... what? You're calling out the Defense and Mason not being a Stud...? Are you serious?

The recently struggles fall squarely on the shoulders of the Offense. There is no ifs, ands, or buts about it. There were over 10 shots from the defense last night. They're doing their part.

Ya, I said Mason's not a stud because he's not and yes, the D will require time to develop...those are facts. Even if our offensive players start producing (which I think they will), the D and goaltending are question marks at this point in time.

The topic of the thread relates to us being not as good as we thought. Our D and goaltending are nowehere near being at the top of the conference.

69 games are remaining..the pucks will start finding the nets. It's a very long season. They will get things ironed out.

I think EJ has been our best player. I can't believe his poise and his ability to skate the puck out of the defensive zone with speed. He'll improve his play defensively soon and eventually add a little bit more of a physical presence. I thought too much was expected of him this year, but i was wrong. He hasn't missed a beat.

The bottom line is that it hard to win without a playmaking center or a sniper for that matter on your roster.

Thankfully Kariya is in the last year of his deal. Boyes looks like he has no confidence. Both of these guys refuse to go to the net.

From what I have seen, one of our biggest problems is the play on offense in front of the net. We have little presence there, and if you watch the Calgary winner in OT, Mason was screened. We need to park someone there and cause disruption.

Unfortunately, this isn't looking anything like like last year so far, except of course, the first half of last season.

I have not seen alot of forchecking to make their D cough up the puck like last year. Hopefully this team will jell and get a streak of wins going SOON.

Right, you ever stop to think that its the system they play in? I guess not.Not saying everyone is not playing as well as they should but the pattern here falls onto the coach's system, not the players. Facts and numbers prove it. Last season 5 on 5: 133gf 142ga. Its been like that on every AM coached team he has had. Outscored during 5 on 5 play. The only thing that saved the blues last year, with the exception of Mason, was our special teams. So before you are so quick to dismiss the coach as not being the problem you might want to do some research. NHL.com is wonderful place for you to start with your education little one.

Now, please try and explain how its not AM's system doesnt play a part in all of this? You dont know what you are talking aboout. You really dont.
