the link to philadelphia is undeniable. we snaked amendola off their practice squad, made the witherspoon trade, and have kevin kolb's former qb coach for our offensive coordinator.

riddle me this, would you give away our second round pick which will be about 36 overall for kolb? personally i wouldn't but i don't see the eags keeping both of them again next year.

That's interesting. I think the majority of the fans of this team are anxious to get some fresh new blood behind center. Kolb, while good, has been critiqued already. If one of the coveted QBs in the draft fall to 36, I'd like to see if the upside is greater than that of Kolb.

That's just me though.

I remember when the Rams and Dolphins used to trade guys back and forth back in the day too.

Why would Philly do this deal? McNabb's getting older, Kolb is under team control for reasonable money and has shown promise in limted playing time. If anything, McNabb's the one they'll part with, IMO.

I don't believe Kolb is the answer. I don't think he'll ever succeed as a starting NFL QB.

Why are you so willing to get rid of our draft picks. We need to keep all our picks and make our selections

mcnabb is playing great football and definitley has a few years left. if they can get something for kolb now and still have time to develop a qb for the future it makes sense for philly. the falcons did something similar with schaub.

Yeah, cause, the way those kinds of "relationships" work, one team is always willing to skrew itself over by trading a player they don't want to trade for less than his real value.

You know. Relationships. Cool

Which is why(if the Eagles were so inclined to deal him)I would prefer to go this route. Swap picks with the Eagles in the first round, and include the pick they gave in the Spoon deal. The Eagles jump into the top 5, and the Rams get a QB ready to step in immediately w/o giving up a pick. The extra bonus of going this route is that the Rams save money on the first round pick, which has to be enticing considering they have paid the #2 pick in the draft 2 years in a row.

Why would they trade him?

?

McNabb was recently injured and is an 11 year vet.

Kolb is their future.

Why do you think they drafted him. 2nd round. (Where smart teams get their qbs.)
