This guy is a terrific outfielder, and I believe he has settled for corner outfielder in the past when with the Mets. He still has 30 HR potential and has topped 20 homers 8 times in his career.

He could definitely spell Rasmus against tough lefties and be our starter in left or right (depending on where LaRussa wants Ludwick) if Holliday departs. Matthew Leach at MLB.com listed him as a potential replacement for Holliday. Thoughts?

He would be a nice addition but is he alone enough?

Did he have some problems staying healthy or am I thinking of someone else?

At what price though? He isn't worth more than 2-3 mil as a bench player.

Everybody thought Rick Ankiel was frustrating last season. Cameron isn't much better when it is broken down.

He will be 37 when the season starts. He hasn't hit above .250 since 2006. Strikes out a lot. As in around 150 strikeouts a year. Might be good for about 20 HRs but nowhere near 30 like the OP mentioned. Not a SB threat anymore, 10-15 if he is lucky.

Not to mention he will try to get the team to untuck their jerseys after a win.

I'll say the same thing I said about K. Greene...as a visiting player, I view Cameron as an automatic out unless you make a major mistake over the middle of the plate. He can't hit breaking pitches and can't catch up to anything near the belt.

No way I add him for any role with the team.

Mike Cameron? The Mike Cameron who paid homage to his father by, gasp, untucking his shirt after a victory? The same Mike Cameron who may be, no, most likely is, friends with Prince Fielder? We can't have him dirtying the Cardinals pristine image. I mean, it isn't like he tested positive for steriods, or some other PED. That we could forgive. But that shirt thing? Just stop it. Now.

It was just a joke chief. I guess we should just be happy that "paying homage" to his father ment only untucking and not getting completely naked, right?
