What's up with conservatives and apocalyptic fantasies? Anyone else notice that this group routinely engages in "end of the world porn?"

90% of conservatives spend their time imagining themselves wandering cross the ruins of civilization with a bible and a gun doling out "justice."

Keith Olberman is pretty obnoxious. But Rachel Maddow? That's like saying you want to beat up Joe Scarborough. You may not like what either one of them have to say depending on your own politics but both are pretty benign. Me, I don't want to beat up any of them. I'm not a pacifist. I'm just not threatened by political pundits with differing political views than me. I do think Glenn Beck needs to get on some meds though. Since I'm a liberal and all, I'd see to it that he gets the medical care he needs.

That's really what it comes down to. People are actively volunteering to be gullible, and enrich the TV personality that has duped them...

The thought process (what little there is) is pretty simple: If you can't outsmart somebody, resort to violence.


I'm reminded of the SNL sketch where Steve Martin plays an intelligent caveman who gets killed by John Belushi's less intelligent character. "Now me smart."
