I have yet to see one reason why Clausen should not be considered, if not a lock, for our first round pick.

Let me knock out a few things here first.

1. He is not Brady Quinn. Quinn was an ESPN media hype and nothing more, a completely different QB that Clausen. Clausen is coming from a pro style offense who actually has something other than a noodle for an arm and that is much better with his decision making.

2. Yes it is Notre Dame, but no this is not the over hyped program is used to be. That team is a product of Clausen rather than Clausen is a product of Notre Dame.

3. The production is there and he isn't a one year wonder, each year in college he has shown that he can adjust to fix his flaws and has improved every year.

So I leave it to you, why isn't Clausen an elite QB talent?

Cleveland will finish worst than us and draft him, as Mangini hates both of the quarterbacks they have. Other than that, he is the clear pick

I could not agree more. I just hope he is ok. He got taken out when he was running into the end zone and fumbled. It goes to show you that the defense does not scare him.

I agree. the biggest reason is the Rams will probably pick 4th or 5th. Clausen may go #1. The Rams could trade a bunch of picks and/or players to Clev or TB to get the 1st overall pick...

Because he's 6'1, at best. Not to mention he won't enter the draft this year.

Mangini won't last after this year..Browns just replace their GM..Just to fix the messes created by him.

I never understood why Cleveland rushed to hire him after he was fired by the Jets, the guy just isn't that good. I just hope they get a new coach that likes either one of the rejects they have on their roster at QB

I think he will enter the draft this year. I understand his loyalty to his school and obese coach but look at what happened to Bradford (top 5 pick comes back and gets hurt) not to mention the possibility of a rookie pay scale in 2011, he would be foolish to go back to school for another year

Watch the game. A whole bunch of miscues that weren't Clausen's fault.
