I was just watching NHL On The Fly. They were showing the Blues highlights, afterward, one analyst said maybe the Blues were gonna wait until March to pick it up and the other said it may be too late for the Blues with only 12 points on the year. I couldn't believe that, this guy is already saying were done for the year. Sweet Lord, give it some time.

BTW, did anyone else smile like the Grinch when Philly started booing Eller after his penalty was over. The best sign that you're doing your job, getting booed by the opposing teams fans.

What he said was they are "digging themselves a hole" -- and that guy is Denis Potvin... maybe you've heard of him.

He's got a point -- the Blues have scored... what? 2 goals in 5 games?

Bogus.

He could be right.

The conference's worst teams from last year (LA, Phx, Dallas and Colorado) have jumped out with a bunch of points to start the year. They will probably slow down (at least I think Phoenix and Colorado will), but that is 4 more teams to climb over.

Anaheim has had a rough start, and will turn it around sooner than later.

Detroit has been sluggish, and should turn it around. The Hawks are in 9th place right now.

Another odditity of the schedule is once again, the Blues have played the fewest games in the conference thus far. At least they have those games in hand for later.

The Blues can't toss points out the window in November and December and expect to make the playoffs again with a late season charge. It's not too often that you can catch lightning in a bottle like that.

The West is tough.

THere is cause for concern....Emery wasn't stellar like Bryzgalov, Vokoun....he wasnt as god as Mikka K was. But they still didn't score despite moving the puck better.
