Ya not sure why an owner would be all that worried about the Front Office, he can always bring in his own people.

But its interesting, he is the 559th richest person in the world, he is from Texas so he has the money and odds are he wouldnt move the team.

I like it, no drama.

Pickle, I hope you are right. One question: why do you say the odds are he would not move the team?

My only concern with this guy is, doesn't San Antonio want a team (not sure what part of Texas Mr. Ford is from).

San Antonio has been rumored to be in the running if the Vikes move, IIRC.

Interesting..I didn't hear it. But one concern I have is Jerry Jones is one of the biggest advocates in getting a team back to LA.

He has no ties to LA and that the is honestly the only viable relocation city.

Now sure he can move the team, but this guy is a business first and foremost. Moving a team that already has a fan base, already has a stadium with a sweet, sweet lease deal to a smaller market in a State that has 2 teams with one of those teams being a National team..well it doesnt make much business sense.

I want a rich guy who see's this as an investment, not a toy. I want him to do what he does in real life with the Rams. Hire smart people to do the things that make a business successful.

I think he has that mentality...I dont want drama, I dont want headlines, I want an owner who we only see when we are hoisting the Lombardi Trophy

PS..he is from Dallas, he went to SMU....so not sure San Antonio has any ties to him other then being in Texas.

If this guy is friends with Jerry Jones it leads me to two lines of thinking:

1. He would not likely want to move team to San Antonio, as Jerry would obviously not like this.

2. Jerry is said to be an advocate of L.A. getting a team. This makes me at least a bit nervous, knowing that this man may be influenced by Jerry.

Jerry Jones actually lived in St. Louis for a time. Supposedly he used to go to Cardinal baseball games at the time.

Didn't know that. But there is the Arkansas connection with Jones. He would likely be OK with somebody keeping the team in STL opposed to moving to LA.

Not sure a guy would buy a team in 2010 with the idea of moving them in 2015

What right does Jones have to oppose keeping the Rams in St. Louis ????
