So ... you guys are saying that Obama is "lucky" that he has to go to a funeral for 13 and that's a "good excuse" to miss the Berlin deal?
Welcome to 2009. "Change" we can believe in.
I'm going to call BS here. He is going to the funeral because he has no choice, not to escape a trip to Germany. He is not going to Germany because there is nothing in it for him, and he really doesn't care what they think about it. Who knows why he is going to Asia - I'm sure he has a great reason. Nothing much else important going on these days, should be a nice trip for him and the mrs. with a group of their very closest friends. Hard to fit in all these trips - he's got to work in a trip to Norway to pick up his Peace PRIZE. There is also that Climate Change meeting coming up - can't miss that one.
Air-force 1 is getting quite a work out these days - jetting around the USA for speeches, fundraisers and abroad for these essential trips. I'm thinking this is all "Jobs Saved" and good for our excellent, re-covering economy. Yippy.

President Barack Obama will travel to Asia from November 12 -19 to strengthen U.S. cooperation with this growing center of global power. A long list of issues crowds the U.S. policy agenda in the region: security, economic, environment, and energy among others. Denuclearization of North Korea, China's holding of U.S. debt, the realignment of U.S. security forces in Japan, and international agreements on trade and climate change may pose challenges to the president as he tours the region.
