Well even if Obama had accepted the invitation, he would now have to cancel, as he's attending the funeral service for the soldiers killed at Ft. Hood.

Is that OK if he goes to their funeral?

Yes, that is a good reason to miss the ceremony.

Partisan hackery is always exposed by inconsistency. While campaigning Obama is criticized for going to Europe, criticized for going to Egypt, criticized for every event he attends. No criticized for not going.

Wonder why they hate and criticize everything the Pressident does and does not do.

While I wish the President would have been able to attend, it's not realistic to expect him to be in Germany right now. It would've been disrespectful for him to drop by the airport in Berlin and wave like Miss America, so this is the other option.

EDIT: I might add that it has become entirely obvious that you get ALL of your information from Fox News.

This has been known for weeks. I read about it in Der Spiegel at least three weeks ago.

You acting like this is "breaking news" or something that you must post up RIGHT NOW!?!!!11one, is telling. Laughing

EDIT 2: Meanwhile, this is a perfect example of why it'd be great to separate the "smiling for the cameras", "hosting dinners" aspect of a Head of State from the REAL work of a Head of Government. This is why Bush/Cheney were so perfect. Bush did the smiling part and Cheney ran the country, with a bit of Treasury looting as a side business.
It's times like this we really could use a do nothing Monarchy.
Just had one, it stunk.

Touche! Laughing

So ... you guys are saying that Obama is "lucky" that he has to go to a funeral for 13 and that's a "good excuse" to miss the Berlin deal?

Welcome to 2009. "Change" we can believe in.

I'm going to call BS here. He is going to the funeral because he has no choice, not to escape a trip to Germany. He is not going to Germany because there is nothing in it for him, and he really doesn't care what they think about it. Who knows why he is going to Asia - I'm sure he has a great reason. Nothing much else important going on these days, should be a nice trip for him and the mrs. with a group of their very closest friends. Hard to fit in all these trips - he's got to work in a trip to Norway to pick up his Peace PRIZE. There is also that Climate Change meeting coming up - can't miss that one.

Air-force 1 is getting quite a work out these days - jetting around the USA for speeches, fundraisers and abroad for these essential trips. I'm thinking this is all "Jobs Saved" and good for our excellent, re-covering economy. Yippy.

A glaring omission. I say he's sorry it fell.

Plus, why should he honor one of Reagan's greatest accomplishments? That would really tarnish the narrative, wouldn't it?

I just want to ask how much you get paid per hour for spitting out such hate? Honestly, that is cold. If you are selling your soul, I hope it is at least a living wage.

Seriously. Sure.

Honesty, bud - not hate.

Sorry that the unvarnished truth is so shocking to you.

President Barack Obama will travel to Asia from November 12 -19 to strengthen U.S. cooperation with this growing center of global power. A long list of issues crowds the U.S. policy agenda in the region: security, economic, environment, and energy among others. Denuclearization of North Korea, China's holding of U.S. debt, the realignment of U.S. security forces in Japan, and international agreements on trade and climate change may pose challenges to the president as he tours the region.

Important enough?

You are a professional liar slick. You wouldn't recognize honesty if you hit you up side your pumpkin head. Your hatred is glaring, your dishonesty blatant, what a pitiful existence you live.

You know nothing of honesty or truth, Slick.

Reagan did not end the Cold War. Gorbachev did. Read a book or two about the fall of the wall. Read what Gorbachev told Hoenecker.

Just like a typical lib to give credit to the Soviet dictator even though it belongs to the great American president who happened to be conservative.
