Anyone else watch the fight?

I was quite surprised at how well Rogers did, disappointed with his lack of humility in the post fight interviews though.

Fedor is simply incredible though. Precise, calculating and that punch that sent Rogers to the floor was just brutal.

Would love to see him face (and IMO destroy) Lesnar.

Yeah, I've been waiting to see this Fedor dude. Heard so much about how great he is, but he has been like a phantom mystery man. But, WOW, that guy is powerful and quick. I think he'd take Lesnar, but the sooner he fights him the better. Lesnar is going to only get better.

Rogers Effed up and got Caught he was winning the fight but :!: was that a perfectly exucuted punch by Fedor No man would have taken that shot and kept going.

I think Brock is to big for the guy though would be an interesting fight none the less

Good fight. Some other random notes.

-Good job by CBS by managing its time. Rolling Eyes Missed the whole fight on my DVR and had to watch Youtube. My bad for not extending coverage but they weren't even close.

-Love hearing a Kasperov/Fischer analogy in a MMA fight! I'd listen to Gus Johnson call a washers tournament.

It seems like everybody does this (less the ppv cards)...

SF, WEC, UFN, etc...

I always record the show after...

Fedor looked a little uncomfortable in the cage, especially when Rogers had him pinned up against it. But if there's one thing Fedor knows how to do, it's finish fights w/ a bang! Wasn't his best match, but great finish nonetheless.

Fedor is never going to fight Lesar. I used to be a big Fedor fan, but I have to admit that there him not signing with UFC raised a big flag for me. I don't buy all the co-promotion stuff. The bottom line is that Fedor didn't want to ruin his legacy with a loss to Lesnar. I can't really blame him. After watching Lesnar dominate the likes of Mir and Couture it has to be an intimidating thought. I am not a fan of Lesnar, but he really is too much for a guy of Fedor's size to handle. This is the kind of thing that soured me on boxing, and now it is permeating into MMA.

Fedor signing w/ Strikeforce had absolutely NOTHING to do w/ Brock Lesnar or being scared of any UFC fighter. It was all about cash $$$ & power. Headliners in the UFC make a small fraction of what the top boxers make. Plus, fighters have very little control over their fights.

Peep this:

UFC 94 reportedly did just over a million PPV buys (including Canada). The headliners were GSP & BJ Penn. GSP made $200k in salary & $200k bonus for winning. BJ Penn made $125k.

Now let's take a look at boxing. Mayweather v Hatton did 850k sales in the US. Mayweather earned well over $20 mil. Hatton, depending on where you look, earned between $10 - $16 mil. Come again? Floyd & Ricky sold 150k LESS PPVs and made staggeringly more money than the UFC headliners. Hmmmmmm, something sounds fishy in the UFC. Somebody's making that money...

Now I don't know the details of Fedor's contract w/ Strikeforce, but the fact that he's getting $$$ to co-promote the fights overseas opens up a big chunk of change that wasn't there from the UFC & its little dictator. Makes a lot of cents when you add it all up.

C'mon....

If you don't know what you're talking about regarding the UFC payscale then don't try to educate others with misinformation...

BJ and GSP make millions every fight they've had for years now just from Zuffa alone.
