Holliday wants to be somewhere in the middle of the country so he can be closer to his family. That would rule out the east and west coast teams. Boras will still try and use them as leverage, but Holliday won't end up there. I'm guessing Stl., Atl., or a suprise team like the Texas Rangers will sign him.

Atlanta? As a GA resident, I don't feel like I'm in the middle of the country. However, Hartsfield Airport does have access to everything.

Holliday will make enough money to buy his own jet, build his own runway and fly home anytime he feels homesick.

He's not coming back folks, lets move on

His father is here:

and his brother is here:

so, St. Louis is right in between them. Perfect fit.

I doubt that family locations will have much input on his next team. We are talking lifetime security contract opportunity here. Money talks, all else walks in these decisions.

Baseball coaches, not football.

Josh Holiday is an assistant coach at Vanderbilt. He was excited because he could up on weekends and watch his brother play. However, I do believe it is time to move on..I believe Matt has.

Most intelligent observation on the board today. Goodbye Matt, it's been good.

I'm predicting right now that he signs for $120 million and then buys 1 billion gold fish and just goes swimming in them all day like good ol scrooge mcduck did with his gold coins. It's the only logical thing if you think about it.

So a couple more million dollars makes his lifetime secure? Give me a break, if most of us can live on what we make a year, I'm pretty sure Matt Holliday can live his life and those of several others of us on any offer he receives. That talk of secruring his future is total bs
