State revenuers claim that Darryl Strawberry — the former baseball slugger who now lives in St. Charles County — whiffed at paying his Missouri income taxes.

In a lien filed Friday in St. Charles County Circuit Court, the revenue department claims Strawberry failed to pay $8,583 in income taxes in 2011. The lien adds a couple of hundred bucks of interest and calculates the total debt at $8,786.86.

Strawberry, who played for the Mets, Dodgers and Yankees and has waged a high-profile battle with drugs and alcohol, moved to St. Charles several years ago. He now operates the Darryl Strawberry Foundation to fight autism.

Also named in the lien is Strawberry's wife, Tracy Strawberry.
