'The Decider' -- Your favorite Beatle

Tuesday will mark the anniversary of the break-up of the Beatles, who had been on my mind since they won the "battle of the Bands" bracket contest in "Go!" over the last several weeks.

But on April 10, 1970, Paul McCartney released a statement that he had no plans to continuing playing with the group because of "personal differences, business differences, musical differences." And that just about covers all the bases.

So now I'm asking, 42 years later, which was your favorite Beatle?.

Back in the day, Paul was "the cute one," John was "the talented one," Ringo was "the funny one" and George was "the quiet one."

Funny how it happens, but it is actually George Harrison who now ranks as my favorite Beatle. His solo career seem centered on not only making some good music, but also making the world a little better place. Even more important, he just might be the most underrated lead guitarist to come out of (as Casey Kasem would say) the rock era.

So that's my vote, but what is yours? Please cast it and leave a comment.
