Each year there are more than 90,000 students in the St. Louis area who cannot afford basic school supplies like pencils, paper and crayons.
This year Six Flags St. Louis is teaming up with KidSmart to assist them in their efforts to equip these students for the upcoming school year.
During the week of Aug. 9 through Aug. 13, Six Flags St. Louis guests can bring 5 school supplies to the front gate, and they'll receive a one-day general admission ticket for $19.99.
Since opening in 2002, KidSmart has distributed more than $15 million in free school supplies to St. Louis, St. Louis County and rural area students in need.
Guests are asked to bring five school supplies from KidSmarts top 5 "most need items" list which includes pencils, markers, crayons, glue and paper.
