It was as if everyone had an indecisive moment at one and had the same epiphany. Why choose one fabric or pattern when you can use all of them?
Some designers offered up shirts with contrast collars, others offered up dresses with chic patchwork tiles, pants were liberally embellished with contrast waistbands and side stripes.
If designers weren't creating their own patterns: clouds in a blue sky at Marc by Marc Jacobs or galaxy images at Nicole Miller, they were creating creative fabric collages to wrap the body.
Stripes — another way of getting a two-fer-one color palette — were a late-breaking trend but included designers from the varied perspectives of Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs and Tommy Hilfiger.
