Project Runway's Michael Drummond

We don't know if Michael Drummond of St. Louis made it to the Season 8 "Project Runway" finale, but he made it to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

The finale was taped at Lincoln Center in New York on Thursday, but the finale won't air on television until November. Drummond was one of 10 designers who presented a 10-piece collection, but only three will likely be in the finale.

Judge for yourself if he's worthy of a top spot by checking out some pictures from his collection and a video (below on left) of his 10 looks walking the runway in front of the deciders: Heidi Klum, Nina Garcia, Michael Kors and guest judge Jessica Simpson.

Among those in the audience were iconic designer Betsey Johnson; model-turned-actor Tyson Beckford; Jordin Sparks, sixth-season winner of "American Idol" now working on Broadway; and actresses Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Alexandra Wentworth.

Beloved fashion mentor Tim Gunn stayed backstage to handle crying fits and breakdowns during the show.
