The St. Louis County Children's Service Fund awarded $35 million in grants to 44 nonprofit agencies funding 90 separate mental health and behavioral programs for county children. The money was collected via a quarter-cent sales tax approved by county voters in 2008.

• $16.8 million to home and community based intervention services in every St. Louis County school district.

• $5.25 million for individual, group and family counseling involving kids.

• $2.8 million for youth outpatient substance abuse treatment.

• $2.45 million to increase capacity and crisis services in teen emergency shelters.

• $1.75 million to increase housing and services for homeless teens transitioning to adulthood.

• $1.75 million to programs serving teen and unwed parents.

• $1.4 million to school-based prevention services dealing with substance abuse, suicide, bullying, etc.

• $1.4 million for youth outpatient psychiatric services.

• $1.05 million for respite care services serving families in crisis with young children.

• $554,000 to create a 24-hour mental and behavioral health crisis response hot line for youths.
