La Leche League of Greater St. Louis will celebrate World Breastfeeding Week Aug. 1-7, 2010 with events including:

Sunday • Walk or ride the path around Creve Coeur Lake. Meet at 5:30 p.m. near the Tremayne Shelter of Creve Coeur Park, off Marine Avenue near Maryland Heights Expressway.

Monday • Paint a ceramic or make a hand or footprint. 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Your Pot's Desire, 6511 Delmar Boulevard, University City,

Tuesday • Drop in between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Kids Again resale shop, 630 North Lindbergh Boulevard, Florissant.

Wednesday • Dine at Sweet Tomatoes, 10401 Olive Boulevard, Creve Coeur. The local La Leche League will get 15 percent of sales from 5 to 8 p.m. from anyone with a flier, available at www.lalecheleaguestlouis.org.

Thursday • Bring a picnic and play in the fountains and wading pool, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the center of Tower Grove Park, 4256 Magnolia Avenue, St. Louis.

Friday • Join a discussion while children play with the train sets 10 am. to 1 p.m. at Whittle Shortline Railroad toy store, 24 Front Street, Valley Park.

Saturday • Hear presentations and join small group discussions about health and birth, 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Pot luck lunch at noon, silent auction and raffle at 2 p.m. Hope Lutheran Church, 1975 Old Highway 94, St. Charles. Women are invited to breast-feed their children in a large group at 9:45 a.m.
