MEDIA MATTERS: Benton, Ill., native and national comedy star, Tommy Johnagin ("Last Comic Standing," "Comedy Central" and "Late Show with David Letterman") entertained Charter Media advertisers at a "thank you" event hosted by the company.

Dinner, trivia and comedy was served up on-stage at the Fabulous Fox Theatre where Charter Media VP Dean Mutter emceed the evening's activities.

Johnagin, who lives in St. Louis and was the next to "Last Comic Standing" by virture of his having come in second place on the show, had the local crowd of more than 150 howling on Thursday night with his slightly risque humor.

The evening boasted a couple other celebs with local ties -- "Project Runway" contestant Michael Drummond and recently ousted competitor A.J. Thouvenot regaled guests with behind the scenes dish from the Lifetime network's hit program.

Before dinner, guests had their photos taken "green-screen" style (meaning the celebs were not really there), with the cast of "Mad Men," while Bravo's "Top Chef" contestant, Hector Santiago, cooked appetizers on the spot.

Seen at the scene were Turec Advertising's Ben Turec and Tony DiGuida; Charter's John Higgins; Alan Epstein of Adamson; Skip and Lori Weber of Weber Chevrolet fame; Denny Boyd of The Bedroom Store; BJC Progress West's Barbara McLaurine; and Scott Miller of Marketing Matters.

Charter's Karen Young and her team whipped up the soiree, which included a trivia contest, highlights from upcoming cable hits and backstage tours of the Fox.
