NICE THINGS: Carol House Furniture and the Dubman family, which owns the company, were recently honored by PEP, Inc., for helping the organization build an animal clinic in rural Bland, Mo.

Amy Dubman accepted a plaque on behalf of the furniture company and her family, which matched $10,500 raised by PEP supporters to furnish the surgery and buy cages for a low-cost spay and neuter clinic that will be in the clinic.

PEP stands for Protect Every Pet.

Donna Stough is president of PEP, Inc. At a benefit dinner last Saturday at Second Creek Farm in Owensville, Mo., Dubman presented a check for the matching funds to Carol Hanson, treasurer, and Charlotte Govro, VP of PEP, Inc.

This was the second matching grant the Dubmans and Carol House made to PEP.
