KLOSS KALL: If any local types needed proof that we're not in Kansas anymore, this month's edition of Vogue Italia should provide it.

The magazine features a cover shot of Webster Groves' Karlie Kloss and a 14-page editorial spread inside that features Kloss in many and various stages of undress.

The title for the spread -- "Body by Kloss."

Oh, darn -- could this mean the end of her well-honed image as just another sweet kid from the Midwest who likes to bake chocolate chip cookies and hang out with her high school pals?

We're told via the Internet that Vogue Italia editor, Franca Sozzani, has declared the 5'11",19-year-old Kloss "The (new) Body."

The pictures were shot by Steven Meisel, one of the most powerful photographers in the fashion industry, capable of making or breaking a model's career.

Meisel's photographs show a young woman with incredibly long legs, toned abs, a well-sculpted bottom and a perky personality. In one shot Kloss is wearing only a hat and stilettos, while in another she has on hip slung white jeans and a black hat.

Kloss grew up as a ballet dancer and her sleek physique shows evidence of that background.

While this is Kloss' first nude spread, she has flashed some skin before. She was in the Victoria's Secret fashion show last month and shot a topless beauty editorial for Allure magazine in September.

Ology.com features the full 14-page editorial spread of Kloss. Warning: In case the words above fail to make it clear, these pictures feature nudity.
