SCOTCH, PLEASE: Men in skirts? It must be the annual Robert Burns Dinner.
Ok, we know they're kilts, not skirts, but the image is always an interesting one.
This year's observation in St. Louis -- the 40th annual -- will be Jan. 28 at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch. The dinner is presented by the Scottish St. Andrew Society of Greater St. Louis.
Don Withrow is the group's president.
The evening will feature haggis, served with dinner but not thrown, the Caledonia Highland Dancers, the Caledonian Pipeband, and poems, songs and all things Burns.
Burns was an 18th century Scottish poet and a lyricist best known for penning Auld Lang Syne.
And did we mention there would be kilts? Plenty of kilts ... and bagpipes.
