GO BIG: On page 142 of this month's issue of "O, The Oprah Magazine" a full-page picture features a dreamy ball gown created by our town's Sydney's Closet.

The niche company caters exclusively to plus size women and teens who are dressing up to celebrate special occasions such as proms and formal occasions.

Fashion editors from "O" feature the satin and tulle gown on a construction worker from New York who traded her hard hat and boots to be photographed in a setting that made her feel like royalty after the magazine did a dramatic makeover on her.

Gowns from Sydney's Closet have previously been featured on the Today Show's red carpet.

Phyllis Brasch Librach is the president and founder of Sydney's Closet in Maryland Heights. The company sells special-occasion clothing from size 14 to size 44.
