University City police car hits sedan, Metro bus

A University City police officer responding to a robbery call collided with a car, then a Metro bus this morning near the intersection of Delmar Boulevard and Kingsland Avenue.

The officer and the driver of the car both were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, said Capt. Michael Ransom of the University City Police Department.

The accident happened at 10:46, after a report came in of a robbery in the 6600 block of Delmar, Ransom said.

After the officer's car struck the motorist, it struck the rear of a Metro bus. Ransom said no one on the bus was injured.
