MAPLEWOOD • Police are asking for help finding a man who disappeared a week ago.
Dulguun Sukhee, 20, was last seen about 5 p.m. Dec. 21 when he left his apartment in the 7200 block of Southwest Avenue, police said. Sukhee told his roommate he was heading to the Maplewood Library but neither his friends, family nor employer have heard from him since then.
Police said his friends reported him missing Dec. 23.
Police say Sukhee moved to St. Louis from Mongolia about six months ago to take community college classes and had been working at a Maplewood beauty supply shop on Manchester Road.
Police said Sukhee was last seen wearing a dark green coat, blue jeans and white and blue sneakers. He is described as 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 140 to 160 pounds.
His roommate told police Sukhee regularly went to the library about the time he left his apartment complex, police said. Sukhee had no driver's license and typically walked or rode his bicycle.
He left his passport, bike and other belongings behind at the apartment, police said. He also does not answer his cellular phone.
So far, investigators have no evidence of foul play, but his friends and family tell police it is unlike him to disappear without contacting anyone.
"Right now we're trying to chase down everything we can," said Maplewood Det. Sgt. Matt Nighbor.
Anyone with information about Sukhee's whereabouts is asked to call Maplewood Police at 314-645-3000.
