A Chesterfield juvenile is in custody at the juvenile detention center after police investigated a report of a sexual assault involving another juvenile.

"We believe alcohol was involved," said Chesterfield Police Lt. Steve Lewis.

Because both are juveniles, information about the event is limited. Lewis said the victim said she was assaulted between 10 and 11 p.m. Friday along the 2600 block of Kerhs Mill Road.

"They were not strangers to each other," Lewis said. "This was not a random act of violence."
